Gambling.com Group has won the top gong at the 2021 EGR Operator Awards it was announced after a year of "stellar growth" for the organisation.
The Group, who are proud owners of CasinoSource, were awarded the Affiliate Of The Year award at Grosvenor House last week. It represents the second time they have won the award in a four-year span after also being crowned back in 2018.
Charles Gillespie, Chief Executive Officer of Gambling.com Group, said of the honor, “Being named the 2021 Affiliate of the Year is the crown jewel on top of a monumental and historic year for the Group. I am grateful to work with our first-class, professional and dedicated team which drove significant growth in the business as well as delivered on our key, strategic projects.”
For the Group’s Affiliate of the Year nomination, the judges commented, “They have had a stand-out year and quite a lot going for them. Stellar growth and they have done so much over the past year. Differentiation, quality and scale – they cover it all off with a data-driven approach.”
Taking place in London, the EGR Operator Awards are among the most prestigious in the iGaming industry and entries are presented live and virtually to an independent judging panel that's updated each year and selected specially to bring in a diverse range of expertise.
VP of CasinoSource Lee Gwilliam says it's the companies dedication to the players that have seen them recognised with the most distinguished prize.
Speaking about the award, Lee said: "With our successful listing this year we became the only Nasdaq listed Gambling affiliate. This award showcases the value of the products we have built which truly advocate for the player."
Among the comments made by judges regarding the award was: "They have had a stand-out year and quite a lot going for them Stellar growth, they have done so much over the past year. Differentiation, quality and scale - they cover it all off with a data-driven approach."
Other notable awards included 888Casino scooping the Casino Operator of the year, with Betway earning the eSports Operator of the year prize for their "thorough, detailed submission highlighting progress across the company's markets".
Meanwhile Bet365 also managed to take home some silverware, with the In-Play Sports Operator, Mobile Sports Product and Sports Betting Operator of the year awards added to their impressive trophy cabinet.
